Job summary

State Industrial Products is seeking a Service and Install Technician in Fort Lauderdale to coordinate and execute installations across the district. You will ensure timely, high-quality work while supporting warehouse inventory initiatives and addressing service-related needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitudes.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
• Experience with installation projects and coordinating schedules is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and operate company vehicles per policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage all installations within the assigned region.
• Accept and document installation requests from the district manager for follow-up and scheduling.
• Confirm product and equipment availability to complete installations in one visit.
• Ensure quality execution of installations, including equipment, products, and support materials.
• Maintain and oversee the installation schedule and assigned workflow.
• Provide inter-district support as needed.
• Assist with inventory control and ordering processes.
• Submit asset movement forms for all installed inventoried equipment.
• Record parts, equipment, and products delivered using handheld devices.
• Continuously enhance technical knowledge of company machines and equipment.
• Maintain active communication with technical support vendors.
• Retain and promote access to equipment manuals for field representatives.
• Support service-related issues as assigned.
• Respond to service requests from representatives and supervisors.
• Maintain all company-issued equipment, vehicles, and related assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work flexible hours as required.
