Job summary

Equipment Depot, Inc. seeks a skilled service technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment at customer sites and in the shop. You will read work orders, diagnose issues, perform repairs, document results, and communicate with customers.

A GED or high school diploma, 1–3 months related experience, and a valid driver’s license are required. The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and timely reporting to the service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of internet software for daily tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with customers.
• Basic math to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense to instructions and problems.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and observe/listen to diagnose malfunctions.
• Provide solutions and estimates meeting customer specs.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Record repair details including model/serial numbers and hours.
• Obtain customer signature and communicate needs or completed work.
• Inspect guards/bolts/safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and drive to verify conformance.
• Maintain professional image of the service van and company.
• Coordinate with operations or service manager for maintenance.
• Submit time cards daily by the designated cutoff.
