Job summary

NCSL International is seeking a Field Service Technician to repair, calibrate and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation on customer sites. You will install start-ups, perform on-site testing and travel to locations as required.

You must be well organized and customer-focused. Ideal candidates have AS or vocational training in electrical/mechanical or instrumentation, 1–3 years related experience, and strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Qualifications

• AS or vocational training in electrical, mechanical or instrumentation.
• 1–3 years related work experience; 3+ years in fluid dynamics, measuring instrumentation, or process controls is a plus.
• Proficient with digital bus communications (HART, Profibus, Modbus).
• Excellent verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, test, and calibrate industrial flow, level, and temperature instrumentation at customer sites.
• Installation start-up and commission instrumentation at the customer's location.
• Handle technical support calls and emails; travel to customer sites for troubleshooting support.
• Maintain instruments interfacing with customer control systems (DCS, PLCs, MMI, SCADA) and related devices.
• Perform calibration and input operating parameters per customer specifications.
• Document field service visits via Field Service Reports and expense reports.
• Train customers and sales partners on installation, operation, and usage of products.
