Job summary

North American Construction Services, Ltd. in Mobile, AL is hiring a permanent Field Service Technician to join our team.

You will assist Engineers onsite as the second technician, provide electrical and mechanical support during troubleshooting or commissioning, and travel up to 80% to support field projects and installations. This role requires strong hands-on problem solving, reading drawings, and collaborating with shop and field teams; an associate degree in related field is preferred and

Qualifications

• Availability to travel, up to 80%
• Work experience with equipment troubleshooting or commissioning
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical and electrical system work
• Understanding of reading drawings and developing BOMs for costing
• Electrical competency required; will receive training
• Multi-role flexibility with willingness to learn and assist in shop and field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial process control or directly related field
• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technology

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers onsite as the second technician to support more complex service work
• Work under supervision while developing skills for solo service on smaller, more basic jobs
• Provide electrical and mechanical support during equipment troubleshooting or commissioning
• Assist with fuel train assembly, testing, and other shop tasks when not in the field
• Join site crews during component and electrical installation stages to gain experience and help free up Engineers
• Support external and internal sales opportunities
