Inframark is seeking a Tech III for field services in Austin, TX, responsible for safe, high-quality field work, executing work orders, maintaining assets, and providing responsive customer service.

The role requires 5+ years in field operations, a strong safety mindset, and CMMS proficiency, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to preventive maintenance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant field experience in Field Services operations within water/wastewater/public works.
• Strong safety mindset (confined space, trenching/MOT, PPE); clean driving record.
• CMMS/mobile work order proficiency and accurate documentation.
• Collaboration — partners effectively with municipalities, customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Leadership — sets clear expectations and coaches safe, high‑quality field work.
• Excellence — maintains accurate, audit‑ready records; follows SOPs, permits, and regulations.
• Accountability — meets response KPIs; owns preventive maintenance and corrective actions.
• Respect — communicates professionally with the public and team members.

Responsibilities

• Complete service orders (turn‑on/off, rereads, meter tests) within SLAs; document results.
• Investigate high/low usage, no‑reads, and tamper alarms; escalate anomalies.
• Perform utility locates/mark‑outs and customer appointments professionally.
• Use mobile apps/handhelds for work orders and inventory; maintain vehicle and tools.
• Support emergency response and after‑hours rotations as assigned.
• Lead small crews/tasks; mentor Tech I/II staff and verify job safety setups.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis; recommend preventive improvements.

Position Summary

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Field‑based role with frequent driving, outdoor work in varied weather, and exposure to traffic, confined spaces, biological/chemical hazards, energized equipment, and uneven terrain.
