Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, and maintaining two-way radio or wireless communications systems.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of RF theory, RF propagation, UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, repeaters, antennas, duplexers, multicouplers, and base station equipment.
• Experience programming radios and creating/editing radio codeplugs.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex, or similar communications equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and IP-connected communications systems.
• Experience supporting or installing DAS/BDA systems preferred.
• Certifications such as Motorola, ETA, NICET, CET, OSHA are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wireless communications equipment including UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz radio systems, dispatch consoles, microwave systems, wireless broadband devices, CCTV, and BDA/DAS systems.
• Program and manage radio codeplugs, including multi-zone, trunked, and 12+ channel configurations.
• Perform service and support on repeaters, antennas, duplexers, multicouplers, base stations, and related RF infrastructure.
• Utilize communications test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, service monitors, wattmeters, TDRs, FDRs, and multimeters to diagnose and resolve system issues.
• Recommend hardware and communications solutions that meet customer operational requirements and provide exceptional customer support.
