Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support a leading wireless communications organization in Columbia, MD. This on-site role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of two-way radio and wireless systems across commercial, public safety, and enterprise environments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in wireless or RF environments, hands-on experience with radio systems and cabling, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in wireless communications or related technical environments.
• Hands-on experience with two-way radio systems, cabling, and RF tech.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and documentation.
• Education: High School Diploma, Associate's or technical certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain two-way radio and wireless equipment.
• Support installation and configuration of radios, antennas, repeaters, and dispatch consoles.
• Assist with programming radio equipment for RF systems (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz).
• Perform cable installation and system integration, plus basic networking tasks.
• Use diagnostic/test equipment to support RF troubleshooting and develop hands-on skills.
