Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support a wireless communications infrastructure provider. This is a 100% onsite/local field-based role in Boston, MA, where you will independently install, troubleshoot, program, repair, and maintain wireless systems for commercial and public-sector customers.

You will ensure reliable communications for first responders and critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, or maintaining two-way radio and wireless systems
Hands-on experience with major radio brands and RF components
Strong knowledge of radio theory, RF propagation, and TCP/IP networking
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain two-way radio and wireless systems
Support radio programming, codeplug development, and trunked radio configurations
Troubleshoot RF infrastructure including repeaters, base stations, antennas, BDA/DAS, microwave, and broadband gear
Use spectrum analyzers, watt meters, TDRs/FDRs, multimeters to diagnose issues
Provide onsite customer support and assist regional projects and on-call operations
