Job summary

RES Group is seeking a Field Service Technician II– Solar BESS to assist senior technicians in operating and maintaining utility‑scale solar facilities. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar panels, trackers, and power inverters to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires high school education with a technical background; travel 76–100% and a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits start on day one, with a base salary range of $28.79–$35.99 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related technical degree preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 and FAA Part 107 drone pilot certifications preferred.
• 3+ years of related maintenance experience in field service.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior Field Service Technicians with maintenance of solar assets.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PV systems and inverters.
• Operate CMMS and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Adhere to safety policies and Lock-out-Tag-out procedures.

Summary:

The Field Service Technician II– Solar BESS- Travelerwill assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.

Requirements:

• Takes direction from senior site personnel.
• Sets positive example for junior technicians.
• Troubleshoots low voltageDC power systems.
• Troubleshoots low voltage and medium voltage AC power systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.
• Uses hand tools effectivelyand appropriately.
• Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.
• Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures.
• Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).
• Interfaces with project subcontractors.
• Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders.
• Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
• Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
• Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Safety:

• Follows safety and security proceduresand determines appropriate action.
• Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.
• Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
• Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
• Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.

Qualifications:

• High school/GED General Education required.
• Associate degree Related Technical Degree preferred.
• Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred.
• 3+ years or moreRelated maintenanceexperiencerequired.
• Basic knowledge of:
• High voltage electrical power systems

Anticipated base salary range:

$28.79 - $35.99

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
