MEPPI's Service Center Division is searching for a talented Field Service Technician II to join our dynamic Service Center Division (SCD) team. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career while making a tangible impact by ensuring the reliability of critical power systems across California.

What You'll Do

  • On-Site Service: Perform start-up services, preventative and remedial maintenance, field modifications, and testing of CPSD products at customer locations.
  • Technical Support: Provide top-notch technical assistance to internal teams, third-party service organizations, and end users via phone and email.
  • Product Evaluation: Inspect and test returned products to identify defects and ensure optimal operation.
  • Emergency Support: Be ready to respond to emergency technical support needs on an on-call basis, ensuring our customers are always powered up.
  • Troubleshooting Expert: Diagnose malfunctions down to the board level and repair UPS system failures with minimal guidance, while mentoring less experienced technicians.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed service records, document services provided, and submit accurate expense reports in a timely manner.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education & Experience: Associate's degree in Electrical Electronics or a related technical field, plus 2-5 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical and/or electronic products. Equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
  • UPS Expertise: Developed knowledge of UPS systems, services, and peripherals is a must.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with mechanical and electronic test equipment, and strong computer skills with MS Office and MRP/ERP business systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members at all levels in a professional manner.
