Job summary

Holt CAT in San Antonio, TX seeks a Field Service Technician II to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and recondition power generation, gas, and diesel engines and ATS offsite, ensuring safe, timely service and maximum value for work performed.

You will lead onsite repairs, maintain clear customer records, and mentor junior technicians while meeting flat-rate times. Travel across Texas, on-call duties, and adherence to safety policies are required.

Qualifications

• More than three years of field or shop service experience in electrical power and generator systems.
• More than three years in gas and diesel engine troubleshooting and repair.
• More than three years handling ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches).
• Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.
• Own your tools and maintain professional communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair power generation equipment and ATS offsite.
• Document service reports and order parts; maintain customer records.
• Mentor junior technicians and participate in work order quotations.
• Operate equipment safely, maintain vehicle records, and adhere to DOT rules.
