Job summary

HOLT CAT in Irving, TX seeks an experienced Electrical Power Generator – Field Service Technician to provide expert troubleshooting and repair on electric power generation equipment, including natural gas or diesel engines, ATS, and switchgear. The role demands safety‑driven performance and hands‑on service at customer sites.

You will diagnose malfunctions, remove and install parts to CAT specifications, test operations, document service reports, and coordinate with customers and supervisors to

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years field or shop service experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical power equipment.
Experience with natural gas and diesel engines preferred.
Experience with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical power generator equipment.
Remove/install parts and assemble components per CAT specs.
Test and verify repairs and adjustments.
Prepare service reports and maintain customer records.
Communicate progress to customers and supervisors.
Overtime and on‑call as needed.
