Job summary

ABB provides opportunities for a Field Service Technician II to lead start-up, commissioning, and post-start-up field services primarily in data center markets across the United States. You will follow ABB standard processes, ensure safety guidelines, and deliver excellent customer service.

With up to 100% travel, you’ll work with experienced teams to troubleshoot, plan site work, and perform on-time, high-quality service tasks while maintaining documentation and reporting across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical design principles and safety standards.
• Knowledge of NEC and safety regulations applicable in the US.
• Ability to analyze issues and drive quality improvements.
• Strong communication with customers, vendors and colleagues.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google Workspace for reporting.
• Willingness to travel nationwide for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute service work per customer orders and timelines.
• Maintain safety culture and PPE compliance on site.
• Coordinate with Site Manager and senior technicians for site tasks.
• Troubleshoot systems and propose corrective actions.
• Assist with data collection and reporting for fleet performance.
• Support spare parts ordering and issue resolution for customers.
• Document work and generate test reports using job software.
• Travel 90–100% within the United States as required.
