Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician II to lead start-up, commissioning, and field services primarily for data centers in the United States.

You will travel extensively, manage service work, and ensure ABB standards, safety guidelines, and quality requirements are met. Responsibilities include planning on-site work, coordinating with the Site Manager, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 5 years hands-on electrical/electronics experience, or equivalent with an advanced credential.
• Knowledge of NEC, safety regulations and QA standards.
• Able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Willingness to travel 90–100% across the United States.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute service work per customer order and timeline.
• Travel across the United States to support data center services.
• Coordinate with Site Manager and senior technicians to identify improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and reports using job-related software.
• Assist with spare parts ordering and issue resolution.
