Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Technician II to lead start-up, commissioning, and post-start-up field services primarily in the data center market, within Electrification Services for the United States. You will ensure ABB standard processes, quality, and safety guidelines are followed while traveling across the US.

You will handle service work with medium to high complexity, coordinate with Site Manager and senior technicians, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of NEC, safety codes and QA standards.
• Experience with electrical design and commissioning in data center environments.
• Ability to travel 90–100% of the time across the United States.
• Fluent in English, able to communicate with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work per customer orders.
• Ensures timely communication of service work timelines and expectations.
• Plans on-site work for larger projects and coordinates subcontractors.
• Performs first-time-right service work with quality standards.
• Troubleshoots equipment and escalates issues through the Site Manager as needed.
• Assists with data collection and reporting for fleet performance analysis.
• Supports spare parts ordering and issue resolution.
• Maintains documentation and completes test reports with job-related software.
• Willing to travel 90–100% across the United States, including long-term assignments.
