Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Technician II to lead start-up, commissioning and field services primarily within the data center market in the United States, ensuring ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

You will travel the U.S. with comprehensive travel and lodging accommodations and per diem, performing medium to high complexity service work and delivering excellent customer service to exceed expectations.

Qualifications

• NEC knowledge and safety regulatory familiarity.
• Hands-on electrical/electronics experience is required.
• Ability to communicate with customers and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel nationwide up to 100% and work on site.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work.
• Travels to sites for start-up, commissioning and post-start-up tasks.
• Diagnoses equipment issues and suggests corrective actions.
• Coordinates with Site Manager and senior technicians on site activities.
• Maintains documentation and reports on job completion and testing.
• Supports spare parts ordering and on-site provisioning.
