Job summary

Sharp Business Systems is seeking a Field Service Representative to maintain a territory of Sharp equipment and uphold customer satisfaction through clear communication and proactive maintenance. The role requires hands-on repair and calibration across Sharp devices, supported by schematics reading and precise documentation.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in copier repair or electronics maintenance, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and CompTIA A+ certification.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of copier repair or electronics maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Technical vocational schooling in electronics or electro-mechanical preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification required.

Responsibilities

• Independently service and maintain a full territory in installation, maintenance, and repair of Sharp equipment with minimal supervision.
• Resolves at least 82% of service calls upon completion of training and territory assignment.
• Understands and properly performs all mechanical and electronic adjustments on equipment as outlined in the Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins.
• Read and interpret schematics and complete electrical troubleshooting as outlined in the Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins for our full digital line of products.
• Resolves all normal customer relations situations and communicates any unusual customer situations to a higher level.
• Maintains parts inventory and achieves exemplary levels of inventory control and usage.
• Completes all required administrative functions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Cooperates with fellow workers and management to achieve Branch service goals.
• Keeps Group Leader or Branch Field Service Manager informed of machines performing below standards and reports all actions taken towards resolution.
• Performs other duties as prescribed by the Branch Field Service Manager.
