Job summary

Hach, a Veralto company, seeks a Field Service Technician I to deliver high-quality customer service, perform preventive maintenance, and calibrate devices at customer sites across municipal and industrial settings in the San Bernardino, CA region. You will contribute to reliable water analysis and support a broad customer base.

The role requires daily travel, a valid driver’s license, and a technical background with proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associates/technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
• Mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair.
• 2+ years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation at customer sites.
• Promote a positive customer experience and serve as on-site contact for technical and service-related problems.
• Work in municipal and industrial settings, including water treatment facilities, refineries, and food & beverage plants.
• Submit prompt, accurate service reports affecting billing, inventory, and instrument history.
• Follow safe work practices and perform necessary administrative tasks for service visits.
