Job summary

SECO Lighting, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to deliver start-ups and service for lighting control systems. You will troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, test control programming in the field, and analyze problems with field teams and customers.

The role requires extensive travel, reading drawings, and strong communication skills. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of electrical/low voltage experience and a solid understanding of networking and power systems, with the ability to

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience on electrical or low voltage systems.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems and logic programming.
• Basic understanding of electrical power systems.
• Understanding of networking principles.
• Ability to read and understand building and control drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and make quick decisions.
• Ability to travel extensively and hold a valid driver’s license with adequate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide start-ups and service for lighting control manufacturers and troubleshooting in the field.
• Identify solutions to on-site technical issues for lighting control systems.
• Provide control programming and testing in the field.

Job description

Position Summary: Responsible as technical resource for customers and factories trouble shooting problems in the field and providing factory start-ups and generally works independently. All aspects of providing technical support and problem solving for customers, factories and outside sales personnel.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provides start-ups and service for lighting control manufactures to including but not limited to:
• Identify solutions to on-site technical issues involving lighting control systems
• Provides control programming and testing in the field
• Provides investigation and analysis in the field
• Makes or directs installation corrections to solve problems
• Other duties as assigned by manager
• 2-3 years’ experience on electrical or low voltage system
• Knowledge of low voltage system and logic programming
• Basic understanding of electrical power systems
• Understanding of basic Networking principles
• Ability to read and understand building and control drawings
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision making
• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must have the ability to multi-task and make decisions quickly
• Must be able to travel extensively
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, along with auto insurance meeting minimum requirement of 100/300k injury/accident coverage
