Location: Hanford, CA (ASP) – Ammonia production & filling

Job Description Summary

Field Service Technician I role responsible for providing technical support and maintenance on ammonia systems across the U.S. The successful candidate will work with customers and corporate staff to resolve mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues, and perform installations, tank and pipe maintenance, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Airgas field service team and plant operations.
• Work with customers and corporate staff to resolve problems and issues with various systems.
• Remove ammonia liquid and vapor from multiple sources including refrigeration systems, storage tanks, and pipelines.
• Install and maintain ammonia tanks, piping, and pumps.
• Provide support to the Airgas Specialty Products sales team.
• Maintain proper parts inventory in service vans and warehouse.
• Document work via work orders and service agreements.
• Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance.
• Maintain trucks, trailers, and vans in a safe condition.
• Maintain site‑specific training records.

Required Qualifications

• At least 25 years old.
• Class A CDL with at least 2 years’ CMV experience within the last 4 years; tanker/hazmat endorsements required before hire date.
• Graduation from an accredited truck driving school with a diploma counts as 1 year of experience.
• No preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 minor tickets in the previous 3 years.
• No serious violation ticket in the previous 3 years.
• No suspensions of CDL in the previous 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support."
• No DUI in the last 7 years.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs. or more.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tanker experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ammonia experience.

Benefits and Compensation

Pay: $35.16/hr with overtime after 40 hours/week (double time on Sundays and holidays).
Safety bonus up to $1,500 annually.
Per diem up to $10,000 annually (200 nights/yr at $55).
Hotel and travel accommodations covered by Airgas.
Referral bonus $1,000.
Paid weekly via direct deposit.
Schedule: 95% travel, flexible.
Route coverage up to a 350‑mile radius.
Equipment: CDL A Bulk Tanker.
