Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities
- Install and repair high pressure cylinder piping systems, cryogenic bulk tanks, micro-bulk tanks, cryogenic dewer cylinders, vaporizers and manifold equipment at Airgas facilities and customer sites.
- Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance checks on cryogenic pressure vessels and production/plant equipment and maintain an organized inventory of parts and supplies.
- Collaborate to install and troubleshoot Telemetry.
- Brazing certification is preferred.
- Adhere to all company and industry safety policies and procedures.
- Support the service, inspection, use, and maintenance of compressors, pumps and shop tools/equipment in clean, good working condition.
- Identify and communicate service needs to the manager for timely support and repair.
- Maintain an inventory of parts needed to support the service, inspection and maintenance of all equipment.
- Submit completed service orders, estimates and invoices to the manager in a timely manner.
- Build excellent customer connections.
- Demonstrate proficiency and advance knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Join safety meetings.
- Perform general office/facility housekeeping.
- Participate in the on-call program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- College or technical degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of diagnostic and/or repair experience in cryogenics, high pressure piping, brazing, programmable controls, pumping systems, mechanical aptitude and/or process instrumentation.
- Experience in the HVAC or plumbing industry with hands‑on welding/brazing skills.
- Ability to understand piping and tank detail from manuals and mechanical drawings and/or P&ID's.
- Knowledge of applicable standards: CGA, NFPA, NEC and other professional/regulatory bodies.
- Valid California driver’s license and good DMV report; DOT physical may be required.
- Strong math skills; ability to calculate figures and units of measure.
- Customer service orientation and professional interaction with internal and external customers.
- Ability to prioritize integrated service activities to maximize time at equipment locations.
- Initiative to problem solve and troubleshoot with results.
- Work safely under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Team‑player attitude with ability to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
- Detail‑oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work occasional overtime to meet operational deadlines.
