Job summary

Industrial Technical Services, Inc seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and VFDs in commercial and industrial settings. You will interpret schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and travel to client sites as needed to ensure equipment runs reliably and efficiently.

The role emphasizes strong technical aptitude, customer service, and the ability to collaborate on large projects with teams and clients.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with 460V, 230V, and 120V electrical systems and VFD controls.
HVAC/refrigeration, industrial controls, or building automation exposure.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in construction environments considered a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain VFDs within HVAC and industrial systems.
Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to diagnose issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and drive repairs to extend life.
Operate company vehicles safely when visiting client sites.
Explain diagnoses and options clearly to clients.
Document service calls and site conditions in reporting systems.
Support large installation projects and ongoing maintenance contracts.
