Job summary

Industrial Technical Services is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and VFD applications in commercial and industrial environments.

You will work on supply and return fans, exhaust systems, cooling towers, pump systems, and water treatment facilities, ensuring equipment operates with maximum reliability and efficiency through proactive maintenance and clear customer communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with 460V, 230V, and 120V electrical systems and VFD controls.
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
• Background in HVAC repair, refrigeration, industrial controls, or building automation systems.
• Knowledge of MRO practices across mechanical systems.
• Excellent customer service and ability to explain technical details to non-technical clients.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction environments or building systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, self-motivation, and leadership in fast-paced field environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain VFDs within HVAC systems, water treatment facilities, and associated industrial setups.
• Read and interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and drive repairs to optimize equipment performance and extend service life.
• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly when traveling to client sites.
• Communicate technical diagnoses, repair options, and preventative recommendations clearly to clients.
• Document all service calls, site conditions, and work completed accurately in company reporting systems.
• Support team members on large-scale equipment installation projects and ongoing maintenance contracts.
