Job summary

Industrial Technical Services seeks a motivated Field Service Technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and VFD applications across commercial and industrial environments. Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain VFDs within HVAC systems, water treatment facilities, and associated industrial setups.
• Read and interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and drive repairs to optimize equipment performance and extend service life.
• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly when traveling to client sites.
• Communicate technical diagnoses, repair options, and preventative recommendations clearly to clients.
• Document all service calls, site conditions, and work completed accurately in company reporting systems.
• Support team members on large-scale equipment installation projects and ongoing maintenance contracts.

In this role, you will install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and VFD applications across commercial and industrial environments—including supply and return fans, exhaust systems, cooling towers, pump systems, and water treatment facilities. Your technical expertise and commitment to exceptional service will ensure our clients' equipment operates with maximum reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a field service technician with hands-on expertise in 460V, 230V, and 120V electrical systems and VFD controls.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with demonstrated proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams.
• Background in HVAC system repair, refrigeration, industrial controls, or building automation systems.
• Solid understanding of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) practices across various mechanical systems.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical clients.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction environments or building systems is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and leadership qualities in fast-paced field environments.
