Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking an on-site Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and refurbishments on forklifts, knuckle-boom cranes, and related equipment. You will follow safety guidelines, stay updated with technical bulletins, and support customers with high-quality service.

The role requires 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations, valid driver's license, and your own tools.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card required and maintenance within the first year.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Own tools required for on-site servicing.
• Familiarity with Hiab USA procedures and workplace rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, upgrades and refurbishments on equipment.
• Inspect forklifts, knuckle-boom cranes, loaders, liftgates and related gear.
• Follow safety rules, practices and environmental requirements.
• Stay current with internal service bulletins and complete required courses.
• Respond to customer questions to maximise satisfaction and follow guidelines.
• Maintain records and submit daily reports as instructed.
• Identify sales opportunities and communicate them to management.
• Coach junior colleagues and trainees when needed.
