Job summary

Fabick Cat in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose repair needs and perform designated repairs on Caterpillar equipment. You will work on customer or company-owned machines, applying mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repair skills.

The role requires troubleshooting with diagnostic laptops, gauges, and instruments, reading manuals and schematics, and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Two to five years' experience in troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, Caterpillar preferred.
• Ability to read machine schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Journeyman status preferred.
• MSHA certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair needs and perform designated repairs on Caterpillar equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep.
• Identify faults using diagnostic laptop, gauges and instruments.
• Load/unload equipment and comply with safety rules.
