Job summary

Fabick Cat in Butler, Wisconsin is seeking a Rental Shop Technician to diagnose and repair Caterpillar and related heavy machinery. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and accurate interpretation of manuals and work orders.

You will work with diagnostic tools, laptops, gauges, and instruments to assess performance. This 1st shift position offers the opportunity to contribute to a long-standing service team focused on quality repairs, safety, and efficient gear.

Qualifications

Two to five years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
Experience diagnosing equipment using laptops, gauges, and instruments in all systems.
Knowledge of heavy equipment, engines and components.
Journeyman status preferred.
MSHA certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Diagnose repair needs and perform designated repairs on Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep.
Read and interpret manuals and work orders; order parts as needed.
Load or unload equipment; follow OSHA safety rules; perform other duties as assigned.
