Job summary

The Townsend Company, LLC and its family of companies seeks a Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment at remote/roadside locations. You will ensure equipment runs at peak performance, determine failure causes, and implement corrective actions.

Duties include cleaning, maintaining, assembling, and reconditioning equipment. Applicants should have 2+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience, DOT knowledge, a valid license, strong

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements.
• Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations.
• 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operates, inspects, troubleshoots, performs diagnostics, and identifies defects/malfunctions.
• Determines required repairs on heavy and/or hydraulic equipment.
• Repairs or overhauls mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Performs preventative equipment maintenance.
• Documents and submits all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains availability for after-hours service calls.
• Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.
