Job summary

Townsend Company, LLC is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute advanced repairs at various remote/roadside locations. The role ensures equipment runs at peak performance and involves documenting all paperwork accurately.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience, knowledge of DOT standards, and a valid driver’s license. Travel will be in or around Chicago- Michigan area; after-hours availability required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Physically able to perform job duties.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and identify defects.
• Determine repairs on heavy/hydraulic equipment.
• Repair or overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Document paperwork accurately and timely.
• Be available for after-hours service calls.
• Duties may change without notice.
