Job summary

BMH seeks an experienced forklift technician with 3+ years of shop or field experience in Virginia. Diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom trucks used in construction.

Work is performed in-house in a shop setting with hands-on troubleshooting. Applicants should be able to read manuals and drawings, perform routine maintenance, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of forklift or heavy equipment tech experience.
• Experience with shop or field work.
• Able to read manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
• Own tools required.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
