Job summary

BMH in Lexington, SC seeks an experienced forklift technician with 3+ years in a shop or field setting. Automotive technicians with dealership experience are encouraged to apply.

Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts used in construction and material handling. Work is completed in-house in the shop and the role reports to the Shop service manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in forklift or mobile equipment repair and maintenance.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills within a shop or field setting.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and test machines to ensure operating efficiency.
• Read manuals and technical drawings to guide repairs.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Test equipment after repair to verify performance per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance including lubrication and safety checks.
