Job summary

BMH in Decatur, GA is seeking an experienced forklift technician with 3+ years' hands-on shop or field experience. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts used in construction, reporting to the shop service manager.

The role requires tools on site, the ability to read manuals and blueprints, and strict adherence to safety and manufacturers' specifications.

Qualifications

For 3+ years of experience in shop or field service with forklifts and related equipment.
Experience with diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling mobile mechanical systems.
Ability to read manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
Must have own tools and be able to work in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
