Job summary

BMH is seeking an experienced forklift technician in Milford, NH, with 3+ years in a shop or field setting. Automotive technicians with dealership experience are encouraged to apply. Diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts used in construction.

Work performed in-house in our shop. The role reports to the Shop Service Manager and requires reading manuals and blueprints, mechanical savvy, and the ability to lift heavy components safely.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting to diagnose causes of operating errors and repair machines or systems.
• Routine maintenance planning and execution on equipment.
• Determine tools and equipment needed for jobs.
• Install equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet specs.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and manufacturer specs.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
