Job summary

BMH is seeking an experienced forklift technician in Illinois to diagnose, repair, and overhaul mobile mechanical systems including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom equipment. Work will be conducted in a shop setting with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to manufacturer specifications.

The role is hourly and reports to the Shop service manager. Candidates should have 3+ years of hands-on experience, own tools, and be comfortable with heavy lifting and exposure to industrial

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as forklift technician or automotive technician in a shop/field setting.
• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
