Job summary

Hugg and Hall Equipment Company seeks a field Service Mechanic to repair material handling equipment including forklifts and aerial lifts. The role involves traveling to customer sites, diagnosing issues in the field, and performing in-house and on-site repairs.

You will apply advanced mechanical knowledge, communicate with customers and teammates, and uphold safety standards to minimize downtime and keep equipment functioning optimally.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician repairing and maintaining material handling equipment or related industry
• Must own a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Minimum 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Travel to various locations to troubleshoot, perform in field diagnostic assessments, and repair a wide range of construction equipment and components
• Use your in-depth mechanical knowledge and expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment functionality
• Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress and general updates
• Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime while maintaining safe working standards on-site and during operation of company vehicles
