Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist II to deliver on-site technical service and manage field operations for customers in the energy sector. You will coordinate with customers and third-party providers, ensuring equipment readiness and safe, efficient service execution.

You will travel to locations, work with electrical systems up to 5,000 volts, and uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction as you support diverse field environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in field operations, electrical service, maintenance, or related technical work.
• Experience interacting with customers and supporting field operations.
• Ability to safely work with electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned jobs and arrive at customer locations at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled service time.
• Identify customer locations and prepare appropriately for field assignments.
• Work effectively with customers and third-party personnel while on-site.
• Support field operations in locations that may require overnight travel and stays near customer sites.
• Work safely with electrical systems and equipment up to 5,000 volts.
• Maintain truck inventory and ensuring required materials, tools, and equipment are available for service activities.
• Following company processes, procedures, and safety requirements at all times.
• Support successful job execution while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Communicating effectively with customers, supervisors, and internal teams regarding job status and operational needs.
• Ensuring compliance with Baker Hughes HSE standards.
