Job summary

SUDDEN SERVICE INC in Florida provides service after sales for Taylor equipment, offering on-site diagnostics, repair, and parts replacement for diesel engines and hydraulic systems. The role focuses on maintaining service quality, customer relations, and timely problem resolution at customer sites.

The Service Technician will inspect machines, train operators on operation and maintenance, and coordinate with the Service Supervisor to optimize travel and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be DOT certifiable.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Three years of experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics.
• Vocational schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair preferred.
• Welding skills and AWSD14 welding test encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedule.
• Diagnose malfunctions; repairs and/or replaces worn and defective parts; installs new assemblies.
• Provides tools and parts and arranges for facilities to perform repair work.
• Inspects, operates, and tests machines upon delivery and after repair work to ensure proper functioning.
• Reports time, parts, travel, and mileage for accurate billing.
• Trains new servicemen or supervises a team on large repair jobs.
