Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking a skilled welder/fitter to join our team in Franklin, IN. You will perform ASME welding on critical components, work in confined spaces, and ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to travel to job sites as needed. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years in welding or construction, with preferred stainless steel TIG welding experience and welding certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in welding, fitting or construction.
• Welding certifications are preferred.
• Experience with stainless steel TIG welding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASME welding on pressure retaining and structural components per ASME VIII and B31.3 codes.
• Work in permit-required confined spaces.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASME, Company and Client specifications.
• Operate vehicles and equipment as required.
• Assist in testing of pressure vessels and piping systems.
• Assist with leak detection and inspections.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents immediately.
