Job summary

Intralox is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, optimize, and validate conveyance systems at customer sites. You will work closely with Controls Engineers and Product Development to influence product improvements and reliability, delivering exceptional customer success.

You will travel to customer locations, inspect equipment, and provide technical support, while turning field observations into actionable insights for the next generation of conveyance solutions.

Qualifications

• A high-school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Service-minded with strong customer-focus and ownership.
• Good questioning skills to understand customer needs and requirements.
• Ability to understand and manage customer expectations with a service mindset.
• Commercial affinity – ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Willing to travel 20-80% of the time and based in Hanover, MD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the front-line technical expert for conveyor installations, startup activities, troubleshooting, and performance optimization at customer facilities and pilot locations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues independently with sound troubleshooting.
• Partner with Controls Engineers during commissioning, evaluations, and field trials.
• Identify root causes and opportunities for improved equipment performance and reliability.
• Document observations and feedback to guide product development and improvements.
• Support pilot installations and product validation in real-world conditions.
• Perform equipment inspections, assess wear, maintenance, and risks.
