Job summary

Grossenburg Implement in Philip, SD is seeking a skilled service technician to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment and technology. The role includes field work, mentoring trainees, and supporting customer clinics to ensure timely, accurate service documentation and billable work orders.

The ideal candidate has experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and a reliable toolset. John Deere knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience performing service repairs and meeting performance metrics.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on off-road/heavy equipment.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and Service ADVISOR or similar software.
• Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Student Technicians.
• Conducts or supports customer clinics.
• Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for documentation of diagnostics and repairs and timely submission of information.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
