Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair complex electromechanical manufacturing equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot high- and low-voltage systems, interpret electrical schematics, and work with PLC/HMI-driven machinery while maintaining digital service records.

The role requires 2–5 years of related field service experience, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and travel up to 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with technical experience in field service, industrial maintenance, equipment installation, or related technical work.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Proficient with multimeters and troubleshooting electrical and control systems.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and motion-control systems desired.
• Willingness to travel 50%–75% and communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair complex electromechanical manufacturing equipment at customer locations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and work with high- and low-voltage systems.
• Use a multimeter to diagnose voltage, current, resistance, and related issues.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems including power, I/O, sensors, and HMIs.
• Diagnose servo drives, motors, and motion-control systems; read pneumatic schematics.
• Provide installation guidance and operator training; document service calls and communications.
• Represent the company professionally during customer visits and travel 50%–75%.
