Job description

Join to apply for the Field Service Technician Bending role at AMADA AMERICA, INC.

This role involves supporting customers with Amada Press Brakes in the San Diego, CA territory, including installation, service, operational training, networking, programming, software, application, and bending automation training. Responsibilities may also include working with Punch Press, Shears, and other fabricating machines, including automated material handling equipment.

Essential Functions

• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
• Ability to follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
• Complete daily service reports and weekly expense reports.
• Effective communication in English.
• Excellent customer relations and follow-up skills.
• Manage equipment installation at customer sites, including physical tasks such as climbing and bending.
• Operate, apply, and train customers on software and part programming, including Amada applications used in line control.
• Travel regularly within the assigned territory.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Information

Preferred: Ability to communicate in Spanish.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Regional Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics (4 years preferred) or 2 years of related work experience.

Skills

• Ability to analyze and repair various systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, Oscilloscope.
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Accountability in supporting customers throughout their ownership experience.

Travel

• Routine travel within San Diego, CA, and surrounding areas, including occasional overnight stays.

Pay Rate

$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
