Reporting Line

This position reports to the Service Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

You'll be the primary on-site representative, ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing site work for larger projects. You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Primary On-Site Representative: Serve as the main contact for ABB customers and field personnel.
  2. Customer Satisfaction: Plan and execute service work to meet customer expectations and ensure retention.
  3. Opportunity Identification: Work with customers to identify and address operational improvements and pain points.
  4. Site Work Management: Prepare and manage site work, including subcontractors, for larger projects.
  5. Technical Expertise: Perform complex field service tasks, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical consultation.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation and reports for service activities.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive improvements in processes and products.
  8. Travel and Safety Compliance: Travel extensively and adhere to safety protocols and ABB's safety culture.
Qualifications for the role
  • High School diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 10 years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 8 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of all areas of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Safety Codes and Regulations, and QA (Local & National).
  • Advanced theoretical experience in electrical design.
  • Ability to work with all levels of maintenance, engineering, and management.
  • Project management or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence customers and peers.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and project issue resolution software (e.g., BIM, Procore).
  • Effective communication skills with external customers, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with Emerson RX3i, Proficy Machine Edition, ABB AC500 PLC, Automation Builder, CP600 HMI, Panelbuilder, Zenon, Cimplicity, Woodward Easygen, relay testing, and configuration (Siemens, ABB REX640, SSC600, REF615, REG615, SEL, Multilin), RTAC configuration is preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Base salary is expected to range from $79,800 to $148,200 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
