Job summary

Tanknology offers a Field Service Technician Apprentice role where you learn through an apprentice-style program until certification. You’ll work at client sites performing testing, installations and repairs, using TANCS to record findings.

This entry-level program leads to paid growth with employer-provided training and potential advancement. Starting salaries for new entrants are $40-52k with a 5% revenue bonus; typical first-year earnings range $54-68k depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with trades experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Climb ladders up to 20 ft daily and stay fit for field work.
• Willing to undergo DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check and background check.
• Basic data entry and computer skills; good communication.
• Willing to travel across multiple states with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and surveys.
• Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems.
• Install equipment and test tank gauge systems.
• Enter and analyze test results, reporting findings to Operations.
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on the vehicle.
