Job summary

Greenway Equipment is seeking a Service Technician to independently perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural and outdoor power equipment. You will diagnose issues on John Deere equipment, perform field repairs, document work thoroughly, and participate in training to grow your skills while delivering exceptional service to customers.

This role requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends, maintain safety standards, and mentor

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in John Deere equipment.
• Experience with tools and following Technical Manual procedures.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues.
• Experience with basic computer functions for diagnostics.
• Positive attitude and a passion to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostics.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
• Repairs in the field as required.
• Develop a thorough understanding of all technology offerings.
• Accountable for billable time and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on repair orders.
• Participate in training programs required by Greenway Equipment to develop and advance skills and knowledge.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Will maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians.
