Field Service Technician – Aggregate Crushing and Screening Equipment
- North Dakota (ND)
- South Dakota (SD)
These will be resident technician roles, and “home base” can be flexible for the right candidates.
We’re hiring a Field Service Technician to support aggregate crushing and screening equipment—and to grow with a company that has aggressive expansion plans and real advancement opportunities.
You do not need decades of experience.
You do need the right mindset.
If you’re mechanically inclined, self-motivated, eager to learn, and want to get in on the front end of a growing operation, this role offers a path most techs don’t get.
This Role Is a Fit If You Are:
- Mechanically curious and hands-on
- Self-driven and accountable in the field
- Positive, professional, and customer-focused
- Eager to learn advanced equipment and systems
- Looking for more than “just a job” — you want a career path
Prior aggregate experience is a plus, but potential, attitude, and work ethic matter just as much.
The Role
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll support our Crush Mode equipment fleet, as well as customers operating aggregate crushing and screening equipment. You’ll work alongside service techs, sales reps and leadership while developing the skills to diagnose, repair, maintain, and rebuild equipment in real production environments.
This role is designed to grow with you as the company grows.
What You’ll Work On
You’ll gain experience with:
- Jaw, cone, and impact crushers
- Screening plants and scalping screens
- Conveyors, feeders, and material handling systems
- Hydraulic systems and components
- Diesel engines and power units
- Preventative maintenance, shutdowns, repairs, and rebuilds
Training and support are provided — initiative and effort are expected.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance in the field
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Support equipment installations and start-ups
- Perform PDI’s (Pre-Delivery Inspections) on new units
- Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Work directly with customers and plant personnel
- Complete service reports and documentation
- Develop into a trusted technician customers rely on
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Some experience with aggregate crushing and screening equipment and mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently over time
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally
- Flexibility in schedule with some overnight hotel stays
Preferred (Not Required)
- Aggregate or mining industry exposure
- Crushing, screening, or conveyor experience
- Welding or fabrication skills
If you’ve worked around plants, equipment, or maintenance crews and want to go deeper — we want to talk.
What Sets This Role Apart
- Early hire in a growing company
- Clear path for advancement as the business scales
- Exposure to high-level equipment and customers
- Real responsibility, not micromanagement
- Opportunity to grow into foreman, management, or trainer roles, or grow into a role in a different department (parts, sales, support)
Your growth is tied directly to company growth.
- Attractive and competitive pay based on experience and skill progression
- Overtime pay
- Company service truck, tools, and credit card
- Covered travel expenses
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and holidays
- Ongoing technical and OEM training
- An organization that truly prioritizes “Family First”, with flexibility in the schedule as needed.
