Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is seeking a Field Technician to service customers in Centerville, MN, with a focus on rapid response and high-quality repairs. You will support the Northern Twin Cities area and may be dispatched elsewhere as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Field Service Technician for an OEM Heavy Equipment or Aggregate Distributor.
• CDL license with a clean record and the ability to pass drug and fitness for duty tests.
• Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills for heavy equipment.
• Ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options & implement solutions.
• Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule, including overnight travel.
• Demonstrates communication with customers, co‑workers, and vendors in a respectful and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication between customers and internal RMS departments in order to complete work and grow service labor sales.
• Utilize various computer programs and OEM software along with RMS resources to complete jobs, using manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to determine repairs needed, communicate needs, and perform repairs.
• Test equipment after repair and assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance.
• Maintain company service vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment adhering to DOT and MSHA compliance.
• Keep knowledge updated with RMS and competitor products through vendor, internal, and online training.
