Job summary

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is seeking a Field Technician to join our Centerville, MN team in the Northern Twin Cities area.

You will be the service repair contact for customers in your geographic area and may be dispatched elsewhere as needed. This role requires a high sense of urgency, strong communication with customers and internal departments, and the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Field Service Technician for an OEM Heavy Equipment or Aggregate Distributor.
• Ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options with strong communication.
• Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting for heavy equipment.
• Current CDL license with clean record and ability to pass tests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication between customers and internal RMS departments to complete work and grow service labor sales.
• Utilize OEM software and RMS resources with manuals, drawings, and schematics to complete jobs.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics and communicate needs for repairs.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance and compliance.
• Maintain service vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment adhering to DOT and MSHA.
• Stay updated on RMS and competitor products through training.
