If you have 2+ years of experience with energy distribution for data centers, industrial, manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure, or commercial buildings, this is an incredible opportunity to join a National company hiring several Field Technicians due to expansion.

Your resume must include experience in the following for consideration:

• PDU (Power Distribution Unit)
• STS (Static Transfer Switch)
• UPS (Uninterruptable Power Source)
• 3 phase power distribution equipment experience (208-480 VAC and Batteries 540 VDC)

The Division’s portfolio includes industrial circuit breakers, low-voltage systems, motor starting applications, and safety devices like switches and relays. Its Power Protection unit supports the world’s largest data center companies with advanced energy-efficient UPS solutions.

You will work with an established team and manager to grow your career. This role requires travel within 50 miles and provides a company truck. The hours are 8am-5pm with flexibility, with some occasional nights/weekends if needed, and overtime is available to those who are interested.

Responsibilities

• Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
• Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.
• Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
• Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2 or more years’ professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent military experience, or Associates Degree with 2 or more years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment preferred.
• Ability to travel 75% (occasional nights and weekends) – Usually all local Metro Area.
• Experience with 3 phase (208/480VAC) power distribution equipment (UPS, PDU, STS, Panelboards, etc.) or similar/relevant Military experience and/or field service experience.
