HIAB USA seeks a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and repairs on equipment in the St. Louis area. You’ll travel to customer sites and Hiab locations, conducting service in line with manager instructions.

Qualifications

• DOT medical card is required for this position.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two in two years.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations.
• Own tools required.
• 100% travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and troubleshoot equipment (Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists) per Manager’s instructions.
• Follow applicable safety rules, practices and environmental requirements.
• Stay up to date with technical developments via internal bulletins and required courses.
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction and follow Hiab guidelines.
• Keep records, maintain documentation and submit daily reports as directed.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to the District Service Manager.
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues when needed.
• Maintain a professional image of Hiab and follow the Quality System.
